Dorian's Parlor: December

For it is, it is, a glorious thing to be a Pirate Queen.

Having modeled for MayFaire Moon three times now, I have to say that it's really cool to watch her develop her show, and her presentation as an artist. She's always had a vision, but her presentation of that vision just keeps getting better. It can be really easy to just rest on your laurels, do what you're good at and stay there. It's especially tempting if you are already pretty good at something to just stop there, throw up your hands and say -okay, I'm done developing! But MayFaire Moon just keeps getting better.

This time she constructed characters for the models, with a unified makeup, hair and costume design. When the models were on stage, they weren't just showing off the great corsets, but entire costumes, and demonstrating the range of characters that would fit with these fashions. It's really inspiring to watch someone push themselves to be better, to evolve. With every show better than the last, I'm excited to see what she comes up with next.
