Looking at these photos, which were taken almost a year ago, the memories of what was happening in my life at that time seem to resurface - and also, the memories of what I was learning as I was taking these photos. During this time, I did pinups of Andrea and a portrait of Manning Krull. I was just getting used to wearing an engagement ring, and I was experimenting with color and light as I never had before.
These photos, I think, illustrate a jump in my skill - as I learned from my mistakes and experimented with techniques. During this time, I did a bunch of trials with color, where I tried to drench a photo in one color as much as I could. Above, you can see me try my hand at purple, and below, you see what I did with white. Below the cut there is orange and yellow and black and blue.
